ElektroPlug will not charge you before you have been verified nor will it charge you before your device has been delivered to you. You will only get charged on the day the product has been delivered to you.
Yes, you can extend your subscription term. If you have fallen in love with your product(s), you can reach out to your customer associate and kindly request an extension. Please note that you have to inform us of the extension before your subscription term comes to an end. Otherwise, you run the risk of having to send the device back to us before receiving the extension.
An automatic collection booking with our courier partner is processed within 2 days after your subscription term has ended. Kindly note, if you have not extended, upgraded or downgraded, you are liable to return your product once your subscription term has come to an end.
We care about the timely return of our devices. If a device is not returned within 3 working days, a penalty fee of R300 will be charged. Subsequently, a charge of R300 will apply for each subsequent third day, with the maximum charge being the market value of the product(s) that you are subscribed to.
Yes, you can buy the product(s) that you are subscribed to. You have two options: either you pay a continued monthly fee to make the product(s) yours or you complete a once off payment to secure the product(s). Please contact [email protected] for more detailed information.
We lock products as a security measure. This helps us guarantee that our products are returned to us at the stipulated time. It gives us legal footing in situations when customers wrongfully might want to keep products. With this measure in place, we aim to safeguard our business interests and provide a fair experience for our customers.

To verify yourself on ElektroPlug, you'll need:
- Your ID for identity verification
- A valid proof of address
- Your last 3 months' bank statements
- Potentially, your employer or next of kin details
- If employed, the last 3 months payslip and employment contract

- Official Bank/Financial statement
- Municipal rates and tax invoices
- Utility account (Water, Electricity, Sewage, or Refuse Removal)

The address provided in your proof of address has to correspond with your shipping address. In case you are shipping the product to your workplace, it must match your employment address. You also have to show a payslip or an official signed letter from your employer stating that you are employed. Alternatively, you could temporarily pause your application if you are in the middle of moving and continue when your home address matches your shipping address.

No, only the customer who has placed the order can accept the package from our couriers. Please make sure that you are physically present to receive the device and show your ID. Otherwise, we cannot deliver the device to you, which will result in additional shipping costs for you.

If you do not return the device within 48 hours of a failed payment, please note that you make yourself liable to the following actions:

- To cover the outstanding costs, late fees, and the product(s), we may consider options such as device locking, tracking, or enlisting a reputable third-party service to assist with recovering the financial obligations.
- In case the product(s) or payment isn't recovered within the specified timeframe, it might become necessary to involve a third-party service to recover the costs. Please be aware that any associated legal fees during this process will be solely borne by the client.
No, you cannot cancel your order before it has been delivered to you. Once you have placed your order and have been verified, you are liable to complete your subscription period. If you have selected any subscription period below 6 months, you are not eligible to return your product before your subscription term ends.
